Monika Bhadoriya aka Bawri breaks silence on Asit Kumarr Modi’s misconduct on the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah; says, “Issey better suicide Karlo”

Monika Bhadoriya: Following accusations of sexual harassment made by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who plays Roshan Sodhi, against producer Asit Kumarr Modi, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has drawn a lot of attention. The actress Monika Bhadoriya, best known for playing Bawri, departed the show in 2019 and recently discussed her experience in an interview, adding to the string of developments. She called her time on the show “hell” and asserted that the producers tortured her, Gurucharan Singh, and Raj Anadkat by withholding their compensation.

Monika Bhadoriya revealed in a Hindustan Times interview that the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producers delayed paying her for three months after she left the show. I’ve fought for my money for more than a year, the woman declared. No matter if it was Raj (Anadkat) or Gurucharan (Singh) Bhai, sirf torture karne ke liye, unhone har artist ka paisa rok rakha hai. Kami nahi hai unke paas paise.”

Monika Bhadoriya revealed that her mother was going through cancer treatment at the time, but the show’s creators showed no sympathy or understanding. “They would call me early in the morning for a shoot after I spent the night in the hospital. They would compel me to attend even if I protested that I wasn’t in the correct frame of mind. The worst part was that I would wait even after arriving on set, mera kuch kaam hi nahi hota tha,” she recalled.

The actress got a call from producer Asit Kumarr Modi after her mother passed away from her failing health. “I was in a trauma, but he only called me seven days after my mother passed away, asking me to report on the set,” Monika Bhadoriya admitted. His team told me, “Hum aapko paisa de rahe hai, hum jab chahe aap ko khada hona padega chahe aap ki Mummy admit ho ya koi,” when I told them I wasn’t in condition. Because I had no other choice and would constantly cry, I went on the set. Torture and misbehavior are common in Upar. An hour before to the call time, they would call me on the set. Unke set pe Itni gundagardi hai. ‘I’m a God,’ he (Asit) declares.

“It’s better to commit suicide,” Monika said, “Maine bola mujhe kaam hi nahi karna aisi jagah jaha pe aapko kaam karke aisa lage ki. Sohil sabse badtameezi se baat karte hai, jo koi aaraha hai badtameezi se baat kar raha hai, she continued.
